    About the Role

    Training Program Duration: 18 Months Compensation: $45,000/Year USD Position Description: • Bills exam and General Order fees. • Tracks containers on General Order holds to ensure proper paperwork is on file to avoid General Order. • Communicates with government agencies, overseas offices, and other departments on the status of the containers. • Assists with the daily operations of the company, to gain hands-on shipping experience. • Provides timely and accurate response to inquiries, following corporate guidelines. • Generates potential solutions to issues. Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve problems and concerns or further escalates unique or complex customer issues to the appropriate internal department for resolution when necessary. • Maintains updated records of customers & vendors interactions in Systems • Participates in frequent coaching conversations with the manager of the department. • Reviews training outline with the department manager to ensure optimum training opportunities. • Actively participates in trainee development meetings; leads designated discussion groups and shares learning experiences with other trainees. • Maintains a good level of knowledge of the tools & systems used by the department (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service) and of the workflows and procedures for the geographies under scope. Knowledge or Skills to be Taught: • Learn and help build PowerBI dashboards to monitor specific clients and industries volumes, quality, compliance and deadlines. • Learn the requisite English vocabulary and terms necessary to have a full understanding of the role to become conversant with the tools used by our agency to accomplish specific projects. • Learn USA maritime and import/export industry regulations and compliance requirements. • Learn the various USA port operations and how local regulations in the various states impact processes and business solutions. • Learn how pricing strategies result in bookings and revenue for the company. • Learn how to apply accurate research to determine the most cost-effective practice for transportation of various goods while making sure pricing and conditions are compliant with the applicable regulatory frameworks. Required Skills, Experience & Education: • Degree or professional certificate from a foreign post-secondary academic institution • At least one year work experience in your occupational field outside the U.S. or five years of related work experience outside the U.S. • Must have advanced, upper-intermediate level or higher in English language skills and intermediate/B2 level on proof
