Croke Park Stadium
Our Global Entreprenership Group has been doing some sightseeing this week. We visited Croke Park, which is the headquarters of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) and home of Ireland's premier concert and events venue. The students enjoyed learning the history of Croke Park as well as holding the winning cups of the Gaelic Games and exploring the stadium.
Although it is known for hosting the Special Olympics in 2003 and used as a venue for several famous acts such as U2, Bruce Springsteen, Ed Sheerhan, and the Rolling Stones, it is best known for being the scene of the massacre we know as "Bloody Sunday".
