The park where Parisians play
We all know the famous parks in Paris such as the Jardin du Luxembourg, Le Palais Royal and the le Parc du Champs-de-Mars. But where do Parisians go to escape the heat, the tourists and the noise of city life? Today we ventured a little further out of the city to "balader" (stroll) through the numerous pathways and trails of the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont. This completely man-made park provides Parisians with fresh air and space to run, play and relax on the grass.
Students played soccer, took advantage of photo opportunitiies and enjoyed the calm and tranquility of this park. Le Parc des Buttes-Chaumont is one of the largest green spaces in Paris. Built on former gypsum quarries, this park offers amazing views of Montmartre and even a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower. A waterfall, bridges and small ponds are just some of the features of this park.
