How Roma-ntic of a city Rome was! The first morning we got up bright and early to start our day. It was so hot outside, so we started with a coffee and pistachio cannoli from Sant' Eustachio Caffè. The first stop was the Colosseum, then the Arch of Constantine, the Roman Forum, and the Pantheon. We took a break from sightseeing to get our first Italian meal.

Right next to the Pantheon, we found a cozy, tucked-away restaurant called Taverna del Seminario. We ordered aperol spritzes, chicken caesar salad, garlic bread, and cacio e pepe - it was delicious! Back to sightseeing, we roamed around the city, went shopping, people-watched on the Spanish steps, and listened to someone play violin on the sidewalk.

We ended up at the infamous Trevi fountain, where I made a long wish and tossed a coin in. As the sun set, we got gelato from La Romana, which was established in 1947. I ordered two scoops: one Nutella and the other pistachio. I got a cup, but if you order a cone they fill the bottom with chocolate. We had a late dinner at Pizzium, where we split a margarita pizza and a bottle of Rose. We had amazing service from our waiter Carmine who made us laugh and sing. We had a nightcap drink at an Irish pub down the street and called it a night.

Day 2 we spent in the Vatican City. We took the bus there and stopped for a quick breakfast at Sciascia Caffè 1919. I got a latte, croissant, and orange juice - it was to die for. For lunch we hopped in line at the notorious All'antico Vinaio, which was out the door and around the corner, so we knew it would be good. We ordered the Tartufo sandwich with mortadella al tartufo, stracchino, and cream di funghi e rucola. At the register, they gave us ANOTHER sandwich for free. We ended the day at the Jewish Ghetto, where we admired the rich history and beauty of this quaint area. I was recommended to try the artichoke from Ba'Ghetto, and it did not disappoint. It was perfectly flaky and flavored.

For our last day in Roma, we got lunch at the iconic Osteria da Fortunata. Before it opened we had some time to spare, so we went to Two Sizes. Two Sizes advertises that it has the best tiramisu in Rome, and I can now confirm that it does! The niche store sells 5 variations of tiramisu and cannolis. We ordered the original tiramisu and a cannoli, and it was awesome to see them baking it behind the counter.
