Start Your Virtual Internship Today
Choose between a full-time (8-week) or part-time (12-week) CIEE Virtual Global Internship program and receive a personalized internship placement in one of 30+ cities around the world. During your placement, you'll participate in a pre-internship online skills assessment, join online workshops with industry experts focused on future-of-work skills, and receive ongoing program internship coaching and support. Internships require a minimum of 225 hours and can be scaled to meet specific individual or university requirements.
Non-credit options provide maximum flexibility to align with your specific academic and/or professional goals.

We encourage applicants to prioritize their academic and career goals in a specific geographic location. However, participants may request a preferred location of interest during the placement process. Internships are sourced based on internship goals across our network of employers in more than 30 locations.
One of our internship supervisors, Peregrine Technologies CEO & Founder, Steffen Heinrich, shared with us their philosophy on how to create an environment where interns are able to meet their goals:
"I want to create value for the students and for the company. First, the internship must be fun and as an intern I should be able to learn a lot. I am a strong believer that a student should always have responsibility for a dedicated project that she or he creates, runs and evaluates as part of the internship.
