Women take the field!
This week we had the opportunity to see a friendly female soccer (or football, as we call it in Europe) game in Alicante. Students and some of our staff members attended Rico Perez stadium to watch the game between Spain and the US national teams. Both teams are getting ready for this year's World Cup tournament in France. Even though it was a cold night in Alicante, the crowd was hot and there was an attendance record in a female soccer game in Spain.
By the way, the US team beat Spain 0-1 :-)
