Ireland’s open, globalized economy hosts the European headquarters of many multinational corporations; in finance, pharma, technology, and social media.
CIEE Dublin is located on Dublin City University’s All Hallows Campus in the leafy suburb of Drumcondra, one mile North of the city center.

HOUSING & MEALS
HOUSING
CIEE Dublin offers housing in apartments located in student residence communities. All housing options are located in lively districts with multiple dining options, convenient public transport, and are within 30 minutes of walking access to central Dublin.
Standard Housing: Includes a private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a dedicated study space, and ample storage in an apartment suite shared with up to seven other students. All students share common spaces, a kitchen, and laundry facilities. Apartments are located under 45 minutes from CIEE Dublin by public transport.
Select Housing: Includes a private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a dedicated study space, and ample storage in an apartment suite shared with up to seven other students. All students share common spaces, a kitchen, and laundry facilities. Apartments are located under 20 minutes from CIEE Dublin by public transport. Select housing requires an additional fee.
A note: The default criterion to assign housing is first-come, first-served; however, other factors may also be considered. If we cannot accommodate your first housing choice, we'll let you know before you arrive.
MEALS
Meals are not included in the program housing, but a wide range of restaurants, markets and stores are located nearby.
Academics
As a CIEE Global Intern in Dublin, you will be placed in an internship that is aligned with your professional and career goals. You will hold a non-paying position within a wide range of opportunities across a diverse set of innovative industries, such as business, IT, communications, and the arts. Extracurricular excursions and cultural activities complement your coursework and immerse you in the history and culture of Ireland.
This semester-length program (18 weeks) includes a 6-week block of academic coursework and a 12-week block of part-time internship and course. During the 6-week block of academic coursework, participants enroll in two elective Open Campus courses. In addition to the required 6-week block of courses at the start of the program, participants are also provided the option to take one additional Open Campus course during Block II and/or Block III should their schedules allow. The class environment varies depending on the course and is designed to follow U.S. academic culture and standards.

Course Information
Course Notes
- All internships are offered in English.
- Students should expect to spend up to 19-25 hours per week engaged in internship work
- Block I courses are chosen from any of the courses offered through the Open Campus Block program in Block I. Courses are listed as “Fall Block I” and “Spring Block I” respectively.
- The optional courses for Weeks 7-18 available for Block II and Block III are listed below. Students can only add one optional course per block (Block II and/or Block III).
- Hybrid Courses
Some CIEE courses are offered in a hybrid format to make them available at multiple program locations and increase your course choices. A hybrid class is taught synchronously in a classroom in one location, and students in the program at other CIEE locations join live online. All students have the same instructor and meet as one class. Co-curricular activities are tailored to each student’s location to promote local, experiential, and intercultural learning for all. The syllabi show the location of instruction for all hybrid classes and from what program locations the course can be taken. Hybrid courses can be identified as those whose course codes end in “CIEE”.

In addition, your college or university may charge additional fees for study abroad, or may require you to receive a transcript via CIEE's School of Record, which carries an additional fee of $500.
