Alicante's Next Top Chef!
This week on Alicante’s Next Top Chef, the adventurous Global Navigators put their Spanish and their cooking abilities to the test! They spent a warm afternoon in the cool air conditioning of a local cooking school to whip up some incredible and classic Spanish tapas. As you can see they spent their time chopping vegetables, preparing meat and seasoning everything to perfection. As they prepared the materials, they learned about the rich cultural and culinary history of Alicante as well as what the locals eat on a daily basis. They were given recommendations for local markets such as the Benalua Market and the Central Market downtown.
The fruits of their labor resulted in three delicious meals with a focus on renewable and local sources. Some of the dishes were vegetable based, meat based and even grain based. The GNs spent the rest of the evening chowing down on their three plates while enjoying some fresh baked bread. While this was not the final episode, it is safe to say that Alicante’s Next Top Chef will come from this incredible group of students!
