HOT HOT HOT!!!Fluvario Casa do Rio/ A day studying the river
The students traveled to a freshwater aquarium, Constancia Fluviarium. A short film was watched introducing river habitat, followed by a short discussion led by the biology instructors. The students were then divided into groups answering questions concerning aquatic life in the aquariam. The focus was on the impact of humans on the river systems.
Did we say it was HOT! Try at least 110 farenheit!! After the aquarium visit, everyone enjoyed a refreshing dip in a nearby river and a picnic lunch on the shore. The end of the day brought us to the Hotel Dos Templarios, with free time in the hotel pool! We finally really cooled down.....
