Japanese Language & Culture

Greetings from Robot Cafe in Tokyo! Students got to experience eating at a very unique one-of-a-kind cafe today. People with physical disabilities work remotely and speak through futuristic remote controlled robot servers in the cafe. Students spoke to the Japanese locals through the robot, and had the chance to practice their Japanese language skills in real life!

This was truly a unique experience to see the innovation and futuristic side of Japan. The students were smiling ear to ear speaking to the robots, and sharing their experience in Japan so far.

Afterwards, we made Washi (traditional Japanese paper). Students had the opportunity to make this paper, as well as create a bookmark to take home!

The final week of this program is bringing bittersweet feelings, and the students are soaking up the last few days in this beautiful city of Tokyo!
