A Memorable Weekend in Granada
Last weekend, our students enjoyed a weekend trip to the city of Granada. The trip began early on Saturday, at 8:30 in the morning, with the departure from the University of Seville by bus. After a brief stop along the way, we arrived in Granada and checked into the Hotel Alixares, a hotel very close to the Alhambra, and most importantly, it had a pool.
After a fantastic buffet lunch at the hotel, the students had free time to relax by the pool. In the afternoon, we gathered for a guided tour of the charming Albaicín neighborhood, known for its narrow streets and white houses. We also visited the Royal Chapel, where the tombs of the Catholic Monarchs are located.
In the evening, we had the opportunity to freely explore the city center, from the markets of Alcaicería to the traditional tea houses and tapas bars, which are very popular in Granada.
After a full night of rest, Sunday began with a full breakfast buffet at the hotel and a must-see visit to the famous Alhambra. The blend of history and architecture left all participants in awe. At the end of the Alhambra visit, we recharged with lunch at the hotel, and after lunch, we began the journey back home.
