Our journey in Tokyo continued with a series of immersive activities that left a lasting impression. At the renowned Tokyo TeamLab Planets, students experienced an extraordinary fusion of light, color, and elements that created a full sensorial experience. They not only walked through a pond with computer-generated fish, but also navigated a maze of lights strung from the ceiling which constantly shifted in mesmerizing patterns, and got to catch their breath in a room surrounded by the colors and smells of flowers  Each room offered a new sensory adventure, challenging students to think about how technology can engage and captivate the senses.

After exploring TeamLab Planets, we strolled to a nearby harbor, where students took a moment to soak in the beauty of the water. The following day, we ventured to Harajuku, the fashion capital of Asia and a major inspiration for character design in Japanese games. Here, our focus shifted to the culinary arts. Japan is renowned for its diverse cuisine, and we dove into the experience by making okonomiyaki, a Japanese-style omelet with a variety of toppings, served buffet-style. Students tested their cooking skills and crafted delicious creations to enjoy.

This culinary experience rounded off our time in Tokyo, and we then boarded the bullet train to head back to our Japanese home in Kyoto.

Thank you for following our journey!
